More than fifty Imams and religious teachers from East London area attended this trail-blazing project jointly organised by the Foundation and East London Mosque. The project was proposed by the Foundation’s Council of Imams and Rabbis.
The Council of Imams and Rabbis is an authoritative council that is inclusive of senior Imams and Rabbis from major mosques and synagogues in London.
The Council of Imams and Rabbis is a major on-going project of the Joseph Interfaith Foundation.
Stephen Timms, MP for East Ham and Vice-chair Labour Party Faith Groups was the guest speaker
Dilowar Khan, Executive Director of East London mosque, chaired the seminar
The panel of senior Rabbis representing Orthodox, Reform, Liberal and Masorti congregations, answered and discussed questions on Jewish theology, ritual, history and political issues.
